THIS SEPTEMBER 10-12TH

JOIN US IN HONORING
DEBRA BURLINGAME
AT OUR 2014 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The evening of this September 11th ACT! for America will host its annual National Conference Dinner Gala as part of our 2014 National Conference. During this year’s gala we will publicly honor some of those who work tirelessly every day to protect and defend our great nation.

This year’s honorees include individuals who not only are great patriots in this regard, but also who suffered unimaginable pain and heartache after their loved ones perished at the hands of the 9/11 jihadi terrorists.

Today, we are pleased to announce one of those very special Dinner Gala honorees, Debra Burlingame.

Debra is the sister of Charles Frank “Chic” Burlingame, III, the pilot of the Al Qaeda-hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 that was flown into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

She is a co-founder of “9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America,” a group of 9/11 victims’ relatives who called the Ground Zero Mosque, “a gross insult to the memory of those who were killed on that terrible day.”

ACT! for America worked tirelessly alongside these families to stop the Ground Zero Mosque and delivered a petition in opposition, signed by over 120,000 ACT! for America members, to Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Debra, herself, said of the planned building,

“This is a place which is 600 feet from where almost 3,000 people were torn to pieces by Islamic extremists…it is incredibly insensitive and audacious…for them to build a mosque…so that they could be in proximity to where that atrocity happened…The idea that you would establish a religious institution that embraces the very shariah law that terrorists point to as their justification for what they did…to build that where almost 3,000 people died, that is an obscenity to me.”

Debra is also a World Trade Center Memorial Foundation board member. The Wall Street Journal has published many of her opinion columns, her most prominent theme being the need to remain vigilant against terrorism.

ACT! for America calls on all patriots to join us in honoring Debra Burlingame at this year’s National Conference Dinner Gala.

It is so important that we all come together this 9/11 to
honor the memory of those who were lost, strive to make a difference in the present, and preserve the future for those who are still yet to come.

Not only will we walk as a strong unit to Capitol Hill on 9/11 to highlight the importance of national security issues to our federal legislators, but also you will have the opportunity throughout the conference to learn valuable information on how YOU can impact the security of our nation and the protection of our democratic freedoms.

It is up to us to make a difference for our current and future generations. If not us, then who? If not now, then when?

Please make it a point to join us on this very important date in our nation’s history – September 11th.

There is no more important time to speak out in support of strong and effective national security policies than on this day.
