Iraq’s Serengeti Killers

Nature films of the lion's predatory life on the African Serengeti are most captivating.  Viewers gain an appreciation for the animal's killing instincts-one somewhat tempered by the horror also visible in the eyes of its prey.

Nature has armed the lion with a number of traits to make it an effective killer; but, there is also one it is denied for the exact same reason. It is a trait denied ISIS fighters as well-evidenced by their own violent killing of all opposed to them.

The trait is conscience. Conscience is what causes one to identify with a victim, experiencing compassion. The unfazed brutality exhibited by ISIS soldiers indicates Islam has effectively deadened believers to any sense of it.

Both for the lion and the ISIS soldier, conscience is a weakness undermining the ability to kill.
In ISIS, we witness a human killing machine rampaging through Iraq and Syria. Its soldiers commit mass executions, rapes, and beheadings, sometimes even using a decapitated head as a soccer ball. Most recently, their barbarism was evident in videos of the executions of American journalists Jim Foley and Steven Sotloff.

We can understand why the lion lacks the trait-its survival depends upon it. When hungry, it acts as Nature intended, seeking out its prey.

Such is the law of the jungle.

But the ISIS soldier's lack of conscience  and inability to identify with victims as fellow human beings is a trait that drives all mass-murderers. Throughout Islam's history, it has served Muslims well, empowering fighters to view non-believers as less-than-human.

Such is the law of Islam's jungle.

History has also shown this absence of conscience allows Muslims to be creative in how they choose to execute victims-by violently ripping limbs apart, throwing them into raging fires, gouging eyes out, etc.

The Muslim-on-Muslim violence occurring in the Middle East today is generated as Sunnis and Shiites do not view each other as fellow Muslims or humans, but as apostates-to be punished by death.

As the Quran reveals, a lack of conscience for massacring non-believers has long been a staple of Islam's teachings.

Muhammad presided over the massacre of the Banu Qurayzah Jews in 627 A.D., following a 25-day siege. After surrendering, all male captives were ordered beheaded by Muhammad, females raped, children enslaved, the victims' wealth confiscated. An estimated 400-900 Jewish males were executed in one day.

Realizing such barbarity could weigh heavy on the conscience of his warriors to undermine their ability to slaughter future enemies, Muhammad sought to ensure they were absolved of guilt for their crimes.

Accordingly, Muhammad allegedly revealed, "It is not ye who Slew them; it is God; when thou threwest a handful of dust, it was not Thy act, but God's....." Quran 8:17.

Muhammad also shared, "It is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. Ye desire the lure of this world and Allah desireth (for you) the Hereafter, and Allah is Mighty, Wise." Quran 8:67.

Muhammad claimed that Allah demanded and sanctioned the killing of captives until Islam occupied all of Arabia.   Rewards for barbarity against their non-Muslim enemies were not limited to this life, believers were told, but continued into the next. Meanwhile, horrible punishments awaited non-believers both here and in the hereafter:

"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle, and commit horrendous crimes through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter." Quran 5: 36.

Dr. Masud Ansari, an expert on the hate culture Islam fosters, called the above revelation:

"...the most barbarous verse ever issued in the name of religion...Mere opposition to the superstitious ideas that Mohammed is preaching makes one liable to the above punishments."

Muhammad's teachings have survived the test of time. ISIS today simply mirrors the brutality he justified as punishment 1400 years ago for the Banu Qurayzah Jews.

As previously noted, both Islamic sects view members of the other as less-than-human-to be preyed upon with a brutally of unlimited deviancy.

This should give Westerners pause to reflect upon the fate awaiting them at the hands of Islam's predators-predators  whose killing skills will only be honed by a continuing lack of conscience.
