VERY IMPORTANT REPORT FROM POINT DE BASCULE

Corporal Nathan Cirillo was killed by a jihadist on Parliament Hill on October 22, 2014. Shortly after, Ottawa Police Chief Bordeleau sent a message of support to Muslim organizations that have transferred money to Hamas fund collector in the past. The same day, a terrorist praised by Hamas rammed his car into a crowd of commuters in Jerusalem, killing a three-month old infant and injuring seven others.

Ottawa Police Chief Bordeleau more worried about fictitious “backlash” against Muslim community than by promotion and funding of jihad coming from the Islamic organizations with which he is “building bridges”

On October 22, 2014, shortly after Corporal Nathan Cirillo was killed by a jihadist on Parliament Hill, Ottawa Police Chief Bordeleau sent a message to Muslim leaders in the city to reassure them and invite them to contact the Ottawa Police Service if they fear “backlash.”
Sikander Hashmi, the Imam of the Kanata Muslim Association, acknowledged receiving the message from the Ottawa Police Chief and reproduced it on Twitter (also Archive.Today).
JihadWatch archived Hashmi’s Twitter message and added the following comments:
The politically correct Ottawa Police Chief seems to have imbibed the lesson well: after every jihad attack, Muslims are the victims, and need special reassurances. Of course, there should be no backlash” against any innocent people and almost certainly won’t be, but this endless pandering is grotesque. Who is reassuring non-Muslims about keeping them safe from jihad attacks? Who is calling upon Muslim leaders in Canada or anywhere else to back up their condemnations of jihad terror with real action against it, including programs to teach young Muslims to reject that understanding of Islam?
