‘No-Go Zones’ in France Restrict Citizens & Allow Islamists to Conquer Territory Without Firing a Shot

The national motto of France is Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality, Brotherhood), yet non-Muslim French citizens are forbidden from entering “no-go zones” throughout France, where Sharia law rules and radicals recruit new followers openly.

As many new immigrants do, Muslim immigrants have formed communities in France, but with one exception. Often, they aren’t integrating into French society at all, according to an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend Saturday with military veteran and journalist Nolan Peterson.

Peterson described his time inside a Paris no-go zone, one of approximately 750 in France:
“It was pretty scary. I’ve been to Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir, India, and at times it felt like..those places in the no-go zones.
“You see young men wearing Osama bin Laden T-shirts. In a hookah shop, I saw a speech by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was leading an insurgency against American troops in Iraq at the time. It just, it seemed very mainstream and very accepted.”
French no-go zones are sketched out on this map:

According to Peterson, the 5-million Muslims living in France, who account for 10 to 12 percent of the population, are ostracized by a French society which is reluctant “to integrate the…Muslims into mainstream society.” He is quick to point out, though:
“The divisions in France between the Muslims and the European French don’t cause the violence, but they do leave the Muslims very susceptible to be recruited into Islamist groups.
And in these no-go zones, where basic services such as police, fire, or ambulance are unable to be provided:
“The efforts of Islamists like the Muslim Brotherhood or al-Qaeda to recruit off the streets of the no-go zones is not something that’s hidden in the shadows. It’s actually very open. It’s accepted. People just sort of go along and let this be the status quo.”
It’s mind-boggling that any sovereign nation would allow a group of people whose radicals espouse the idea of attempting to overthrow Western society to form basically autonomous enclaves within its borders. Unfortunately, this week’s events graphically illustrate the folly and danger of such a policy.
