A Legal Case For Ending Muslim Immigration

We recently received the following email:

I am an ACTivist in California, and I follow your website daily. Lately, there has been an increasing call for a halt in Muslim immigration. There is actually a law on the books that would allow the President to ban the immigration of certain groups of people:
8 U.S. Code § 1182 - Inadmissible aliens (f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

It sounds like a great idea. Needless to say, our current President would be unlikely to do that. The other problem is making a case to justify such action. Check out this list of 45 Muslim terror attacks since 9/11/01 just published by WND. The list is hardly complete, as two notable honor murders for Fatima Abdallah (2009) and Shaima Alawadi (2012) are missing. Of the 45, as far as I can determine, only 9 were perpetrated by alien Muslims. The rest of the Muslims were naturalized U.S. citizens.

Maybe the appropriate and sell-able action would be to follow the example of the Charlottesville massacre. We didn’t round up all of the rednecks or KKK members. Instead we lowered the Confederate flag. Somehow we have to condemn and ostracize the Quran as “hate speech” or “incitement to violence” using the same language that the OIC is using in its attempts to criminalize any criticism of Islam. UN Resolution 16/18 calls for “taking a unified and determined stand to combat intolerance and hatred based on religion or belief.” (per Sixth OIC Observatory Report 2012)

There are plenty of texts in the Quran that meet that condition — including Surahs 5:60 and 2:65 (Jews are apes), 5:51 (friendship with Christians and Jews forbidden), and 5:63 (rabbis and priests commit evil). The Skeptics Annotated Bible website lists 537 intolerant verses in the Quran based on religion or lack thereof. That could certainly provide grounds for condemning the Quran.
