AFTER a week of controversy over the Paris attacks, the views of Australia’s Grand Mufti were laid bare yesterday with the release of details of a book he wrote saying non-Muslims wanted their women to walk around “exposed as a piece of sweet pastry ... devoured by the eyes of men”.

In his 1993 book An Invitation To Contemplate, Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed wrote modern society wanted women “with legs and arms exposed, filling the shopping malls and the streets, competing for the glimpses of men” — according to the book’s translator Keysar Trad.

Meanwhile it has been revealed the Mufti rubbed shoulders with terrorist Man Monis during a visit to the Villawood detention centre, along with the leader of radical Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir.
The Daily Telegraph has obtained a photograph of Ibrahim Abu Mohammed next to Lindt cafe killer Monis.

It was taken in 2010, with Ismail Alwahwah, who called for a jihad against the Jews.

Also present was Muslim community leader Jamal Daoud, who told The Daily Telegraph: “(The Mufti) is the leader of extremists … simple.”
The Mufti, who this week took several days to condemn the Paris attackers, was defended by Hizb ut-Tahrir on social media. “The Mufti is being hounded by the usual lot — bigots who fear the violent potency of Arabic letters,” wrote spokesman Uthman Badar.
