 I recently heard
from my good friend Geraldine Davie, a long-time ACT for America
member, and the mother of a daughter who perished in the World Trade
Center on 9/11. Geraldine wrote to me about legislation
called “JASTA”, the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism ACT.
The passage of JASTA is very important because it clarifies
that foreign governments like Saudi regime do not have immunity in
cases where they aid a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. And we all
know that all the dots point to the Saudi’s having aided
and abetted the 9/11 jihadists. It’s time the truth came out,
and it’s time the Saudi regime was held accountable.
This was her message to me:
Dear Brigitte,
As you know, my
daughter, Amy [O'Doherty], was a young woman who went to work at the
World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. She did not realize that
the U.S.A. (and the entire world) would be changed forever by the end
of the day. She was only 23 years old.
My Amy was one of
the casualties of that day’s jihadist attack on our nation. As
you know, especially as a mother yourself, I miss her every day.
Since then I, with
the help of so many others, have been seeking those responsible for the
murder of my Amy and almost 3,000 Americans.
Up until now the
American government has protected the Saudi regime, but the time has
come for the world to learn the truth about the role the Saudis played
in September 11, 2001.
Our nation must
demand that Congress release the hold on the JASTA bill and pass this
legislation, to begin the process of bringing justice and truth to the
9/11 families.
The Sept.11th
families need the nation’s help with this. Thank you.

Geraldine is a proud mother and a fierce warrior -- determined to find
justice for her daughter, and the thousands of others who were killed
on September 11, 2001.
Instead of retreating after losing Amy that terrible day, she doubled
down -- determined to seek justice for her daughter, but also to make
sure that our nation is protected from future terror attacks. She
works very hard toward this goal each and every day. I am so
proud and honored to call her my friend, and to have her as an ACT for
America member.
The JASTA bill to which she refers is S. 2040, the Justice Against Terrorism Act.
It must be brought up for a vote in the Senate immediately. And
it must pass.

bill passed and signed into law, assuring that Geraldine and the other
9/11 families receive the justice they so deserve.
