Sheik with a shake: Saudi prince, 43, worth $10BILLION dresses (a long way) down to sneak into swanky Manhattan nightspot

  • Saudi prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd snapped near New York hotspot Avenue
  • He looked relaxed in a black leather jacket, jeans and open-toe sandals
  • His visit comes after an Al Qaeda bomb maker's certificate was discovered hidden in an envelope from the Saudi embassy in Washington
  • Details sparked concerns the Saudi government may have links to 9/11
  • 43-year-old is one of the richest royals in the world with a $10bn fortune

He is one of the richest royals in the world with a rumored $10billion fortune funding an extravagant lifestyle as he travels to luxurious destinations including Paris and New York.

But Saudi prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd looked far from regal on Monday night as he was spotted in the Big Apple wearing jeans and open-toe sandals.

The 43-year-old was pictured outside exclusive hotspot Avenue, a club favored by Manhattan's elite, clutching a wooden cane and a plastic soda cup.

He looked relaxed as he made his way into the outdoor area, wearing a black leather jacket over a loose-fitting blue and white checked shirt.

His appearance, recorded initially in the New York Post, was in stark contract to the traditional wear he is normally seen in.

The venue, which has hosted private events for celebrities including Kim Kardashian, is known for its busy DJ nights and exclusive atmosphere.
Its website boasts that it has mixologists and chefs who can 'customize a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres, entrees, cocktails and desserts to suit your needs'.

The prince's visit comes just days after Barack Obama met with the king of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh to discuss counter-terrorism and the threat of ISIS, just as fresh information emerged that appears to connect the Arab nation and the September 11 attacks.

President Obama's uncomfortable meeting came after officials revealed that the flight certificate of Al Qaeda bomb maker Ghassan Al-Sharbi was discovered hidden in an envelope from the Saudi embassy in Washington when they arrested him in 2002.

The Prince was the favored son of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, who died in 2005 aged 82 after a 23-year reign.

His investments are believed to include a share in the Heron Tower in London and a property portfolio worth at least $5.8bn in the U.S.
