Lax personal security may make Trudeau an easy target for ISIS

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wholeheartedly believes that the Liberal policy based multiculturalism and recognizing Islam as a religion of peace with values compatible with the Western secular democracy, is a powerful shield against the Islamic ideology of the Islamic State (a.k.a. IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh and Caliphate) and other extremest Islamic movements.

Trudeau repeatedly claims that the differences among the national, ethnic and religious communities in Canada are not a source of weakness, but a source of strength that defuses the threat of terror.

Based on this premise, Trudeau intensively wooed the Muslim vote before the federal election in October 2015, and after assuming power as prime minister he adopted a policy which fully supports the Muslim community and its institutions, including those which are affiliated with the global movement of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The security measures around Trudeau reflect the assessment that the likelihood of Islamic-motivated strategic terrorist attacks in Canada is very low. Trudeau’s attendance in the Pride Parade in Toronto on July 3, 2016 is a glaring example for complacency. Covering the event, CIJnews noticed the following:
  • The access of vehicles to the main street (Yonge Street) of the Parade was blocked by the Police from all directions.
  • The Police did not conduct any security check of the crowd.
  • Tens of thousands of people were standing at both sides of Yonge Street (and in apartments overlooking the Parade) in very close proximity to the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, Ontario Premier, Kathleen Wynne, Toronto Mayor, John Tory, ministers, members of Parliament and other dignitaries.
  • Some people in the crowd shot at the Parade participants with water guns.
  • Trudeau walked with no bullet-proof vest. He approached and made a direct contact with the crowd.
  • Several undercover bodyguards in plain clothing are seen in the area around Trudeau.
Multiculturalism in its Liberal interpretation is a golden era for groups affiliated ideologically with the Muslim Brotherhood for expanding their Dawah (outreach) efforts to spread Islam and accumulating political power in order to change the face of Canada in their way. For them Trudeau and the Liberal Party are a valuable asset to be preserved and supported.

The Islamic State sees Trudeau as a representative of the global heresy powers, and his unconcealed close friendship with the Islamic movements does not grant him immunity. The Muslim Brotherhood’s strategy, which strives to gradually implement the Islamic revolution by gaining political power, is categorically rejected by the Islamic State. The indiscriminate jihad is for the Islamic State the preferred means to trigger the Islamic global revolution.

The mass terror attack in France, Turkey, Bangladesh and in other countries serve the strategic goal of the Islamic State to create chaos, to undermine the global economy, to weaken the West and to attract more people to camp of jihad.

The head of state is obviously deemed a prime target in the war against the infidels. Inspired by al-Qaeda, members of the “Toronto – 18” terrorist group planned to to detonate truck bombs, to open fire in a crowded area, and to storm the Canadian Broadcasting Centre, the Canadian Parliament building, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) headquarters, and the parliamentary Peace Tower to take hostages and to behead the Prime Minister and other leaders.

The Prime Minster, ministers and MPs were yet again a target of a Islamist terrorist on October 22, 2014. After killing Cpl. Nathan Cirillo while standing sentry at the National War Memorial, ISIS-inspired Michael Zehaf Bibeau armed with a rifle stormed the Parliament and was killed in a shootout.

Since its inception in summer 2014, the Islamic State has sent several times open messages to Canadian Muslims urging them to pledged bay’ah (oath of allegiance) to Abu Bakr Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed Caliph (supreme leader), to join the jihad overseas and in Canada by committing attacks with any means available against civilians and members of the security forces.

Trudeau’s security does not provide an adequate response to the threats. The repeated mass terror attacks in Europe should serve as a red flag for the security services in Canada, and spur an overhaul in the security measures around the prime minster, state institutions and public places. Complacency might be interpreted by ISIS as an easy target.
