INSANITY: Trudeau Government Giving “Reintegration Support” To Former ISIS Fighters Instead Of Arresting Or Eliminating Them

Unlike other Western countries, the Trudeau government is refusing to take tough measures against returning Jihadis.

An incredibly disturbing new report reveals that the Trudeau government is taking an approach that differs from what almost all other Western countries are doing to protect their citizens from returning Islamic State fighters.

Britain, France, the U.S., Australia, and other nations are actively taking steps to identify Jihadis who hold citizenship in their country, and eliminate them on the battlefields in Syria and Iraq.

Yet, when asked by CBC whether Canada was taking a similar approach, Trudeau government spokesman Dan Brien refused to even answer whether Canada was taking action against Jihadis overseas, and then added, “Returning foreign terrorist travellers and their families, specifically women and children, require the appropriate disengagement and reintegration support.”
So, while other countries are working to make sure that ISIS fighters aren’t even alive to return, Trudeau is not only apparently taking zero steps to eliminate them, but is offering “support” when they return.

That is incredibly dangerous, and is a total betrayal of Canadians who have a right to expect the government to prioritize our safety above all else.

Danger within

While the government is aware of 60 ISIS fighters who have returned to Canada, only two have been charged, and a total of ZERO have actually faced prosecution for joining a terrorist group.
Also, the government is reportedly aware of 200 or so total “terrorist travellers,” all of whom have faced no criminal consequences.

Yet, it gets even worse:

The report notes the comments of Christian Leuprecht – a security and terrorism expert at the Royal Military College – who points out that the government only monitors returning fighters for a limited time:

“They know that CSIS will likely monitor them using wiretap warrants, on grounds of reasonable suspicion,” says Leuprecht of returning ISIS fighters. “And you can use that sort of warrant for up to six months. And if CSIS can’t show that there are grounds for keeping that warrant in place, then normally it won’t be renewed.”

To sum up this insanity, the government is letting ISIS fighters come into Canada without trying to stop them, is offering them “support,” and is only monitoring them for a short time.

Also, Leuprecht says there’s little evidence de-radicalization programs work, and Canada doesn’t even have a coordinated program of that kind.

So, the Trudeau government is basically throwing us to the wolves.

Keep in mind, these are people who U.K. Minister of Interior Development Rory Stewart described in the following way:
“I’m afraid we have to be serious about the fact these people are a serious danger to us, and unfortunately the only way of dealing with them will be, in almost every case, to kill them. These are people who are executing people … who have held women and children hostage, who are torturing and murdering, trying, by violence, to impose their will. Our response has to be, when somebody does that, I’m afraid, to deal with that.”
Stewart, and the governments of many other countries, clearly see the threat, and are at least taking some action to keep their people safe.

But here in Canada, Trudeau seems more concerned with helping ISIS fighters “reintegrate,” rather than protecting Canadians. It’s a total dereliction of his duty to the Canadian people, and it raises disturbing questions about whether he has any loyalty to our country.

All Canadians should be deeply disturbed and outraged by this total insanity.
