National Security Strategy Stresses Need to Counter Iranian Threat

New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Chairman and former U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman issued the following statement regarding the new U.S. National Security Strategy:

"We applaud the administration for recognizing the critical importance of countering Iran's growing threat in a comprehensive manner, and not just focusing on its nuclear capabilities. Iran's support for terrorism, regional expansionism throughout the Middle East, growing ties to North Korea and its accelerated development of ballistic missiles all pose direct threats to U.S. national security. We now urge the administration to execute its national security strategy with detailed, specific steps, namely building a robust international coalition to crack down on the Iranian regime's illicit non-nuclear activities."
